Renaming the Ohio River on its borders with the State of West Virginia.

whereas, The bed, bank and shores to the low water mark of the western shore lie in the State of West Virginia; and
whereas, Section two, article II of the Constitution of West Virginia provides that the powers of government reside in all citizens of the state, and can be rightfully exercised only in accordance with their will and appointment; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Ohio River, as it may lie in the State of West Virginia, is renamed, and shall in future be called, West Virginia River; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Mr. Riddell's 8th grade West Virginia social studies class, Mount Hope Middle School, 510 Main Street, Mount Hope, WV 25880.
